Ostrovní is a water set in beautiful countryside near Dolní Bukovsko. The pond is reserved for just one group of anglers, so you have the water to yourselves for your whole stay. No noise, no other anglers — just you and your crew.
The pond was completely dredged in 2020. It is 2.3 metres deep at the dam, gradually getting shallower towards the opposite bank. The average depth is 1.5 metres.
The stock includes carp, grass carp, pike and sturgeon, and 20 trophy carp and grass carp of up to 21 kg deserve a special mention.

- This water is strictly catch & release.
- Please keep everything as tidy as possible.
- A maximum of 3 rods is allowed, each with no more than two rigs with single hooks (barbed hooks allowed).
- Spring-feeder (“sucker”) rigs are prohibited.
- When playing a fish, the angler must get it out of the water as gently as possible and handle it according to angling ethics — in particular, never drag it along the bank.
- A landing net and an unhooking mat are mandatory.
- When you finish fishing, leave the swim in the same state you found it on arrival.
- Please have fish antiseptic with you (Betadine, Klinik…).

This water has just one fishing swim, intended for a small group of anglers with their own bivvy/tent — it can be booked through the booking system.

The small extra lodge no. 3 (two beds) at Strhaná Hráz, 1 km away, can also be used — CZK 300 per group / day and night.

Arrival and departure
Arrival at the water from 14:00.
Departure no later than 11:00 on the last day.
The water is always reserved for just one group of anglers. Please contact the water manager before you arrive.
Location of the water
Access to this water is from the main road from Bukovsko — the road you take to Strhaná Hráz. Unfortunately, satnav won't help here. Turn onto the track along the stream; after 300 m you reach the first pond. Carry on along the stream and after another 250 metres you will find Ostrovní pond. You can't get there from the other side via Popovice.
