Strhaná Hráz, with a water surface of 4.8 hectares, is the largest of our waters. It lies in the middle of wide fields, where there is true peace and quiet. No cars, no rush — just nature and a calm surface.

Even though the pond is so large, we keep only two fishing swims with accommodation, to give every angler maximum comfort and privacy.

Here too the main fish is carp, with some specimens weighing over 20 kilograms. Besides carp, you will also catch plenty of grass carp and pike.

Even on such a large pond we keep only two fishing swims with accommodation, to ensure maximum comfort and privacy.

Rules at Strhaná Hráz

Fishing rules at Strhaná Hráz (must be read and followed)
  • This water is strictly catch & release.
  • Please keep everything as tidy as possible.
  • A maximum of 3 rods is allowed, each with no more than two rigs with single hooks (barbed hooks allowed).
  • Spring-feeder (“sucker”) rigs are prohibited.
  • Taking baits out by boat and playing fish from the boat are allowed.
  • When playing a fish, the angler must get it out of the water as gently as possible and handle it according to angling ethics — in particular, never drag it along the bank.
  • Lighting fires anywhere other than the designated place is strictly prohibited.
  • A landing net (min. 70 cm) and an unhooking mat are mandatory.
  • When you finish fishing, leave the swim in the same state you found it on arrival.
  • A rubbish bag is available on the dam — please take your rubbish home with you.
  • Please have fish antiseptic with you (Betadine, Klinik…).

Facilities right by the water

This water has two swims with a lodge and one day-ticket swim without facilities (arrive in the morning, leave in the evening) — all of them can be booked through the booking system. At lodge no. 3 there is a shower with heated mains water and a flushing toilet for all swims.

The small extra lodge no. 3 (two beds), about 50 m from the water, can also be used.

Arrival and departure

Arrival at the water from 14:00.

Departure no later than 11:00 on the last day.

The swim without a lodge (no. 3) is for day fishing — you arrive in the morning and leave in the evening of the same day, with no overnight stay. It is booked by the day (one or more days), each day for a single group; agree the exact time with the water manager. Please contact the water manager before you arrive.
