Velká Dálka
a legendary carp water
Velká Dálka, a 2-hectare pond, lies in the picturesque South Bohemian countryside. A forest track leads to the pond and the place is literally out of reach of civilisation — ideal for anyone who wants peace, nature and top-class fishing.
There are only two fishing swims on the pond. They are more than 200 metres apart, so you can be sure of complete peace. By arrangement, the whole pond can also be booked for a single group of anglers.
More than 1,000 carp roam the water, dozens of them over 15 kg, with the biggest reaching up to 22 kg. Besides carp, the pond is also home to tench, grass carp and sturgeon.

Rules at Velká Dálka
- This water is strictly catch & release.
- Please keep everything as tidy as possible.
- A maximum of 3 rods is allowed, each with no more than two rigs with single hooks (barbed hooks allowed).
- Spring-feeder (“sucker”) rigs are prohibited.
- Taking baits out by boat and playing fish from the boat are allowed.
- When playing a fish, the angler must get it out of the water as gently as possible and handle it according to angling ethics — in particular, never drag it along the bank.
- Lighting fires anywhere other than the designated place is strictly prohibited.
- A landing net (min. 70 cm) and an unhooking mat are mandatory.
- When you finish fishing, leave the swim in the same state you found it on arrival.
- A rubbish bag is available on the dam — please take your rubbish home with you.
- Please have fish antiseptic with you (Betadine, Klinik…).
Facilities right by the water
This water has two fishing swims with their own facilities — both can be booked through the booking system.
Swim no. 1 — lodge with a fireplace
Access to this swim is via a forest track.
Swim no. 2 — small lodge
At this swim you can choose the option without the lodge.

Arrival and departure
Arrival at the water from 14:00 to 20:00.
Departure no later than 11:30 on the last day.
If you choose the one-day permit (swim no. 2), you can arrive at any time by arrangement with the water manager. Please contact the water manager before you arrive.
